Many cultures live with the ocean, they revere it. Understanding how their day to day, the seasons, night and day, moon and sun are affected by the ocean.
The salt water people respect all creatures that call the ocean their home. And of course, celebrate the seasonal arrival of the Cetaceans - their elders - their wise family.
With roots in Hawaii, the paddle out practice became popular amongst the surfing community honouring those who had passed, in a circle formation in the ocean. Bringing love, and sharing stories, offering flowers, scattering ashes and finding solace with one another.
As a modern day Sha Women, we are also very familiar with our own style of sacred circle. Where we share with spirit, heal, grow, transform and transmute. There have been some occasions, where I have held sacred circle in the ocean, holding the hands of our sisters, and floating in the exquisite frequency of Whale song.
This time, when we gather at the ocean it will be a joyous celebration of the 2025 East Coast Whales, who grace our island, and our oceans. And we will bless the calves to be born on this journey - wishing them all safely home to their feeding grounds, to complete their own circle.
Our hearts will be open, our boards will be ready. And if we don’t paddle that day due to wind and waves, then with pure intention we will connect spiritually with the Whales, and the crystalline grids of the ocean in our circle formation from the sand.
Our beloved Whales continue to inspire us to live from our sacred hearts.
From our hearts we come together for them, answering a call to feel them deeply with us, and acknowledge them as our guides as we awaken our own multi dimensionality.
𓂃 。𖦹° To acknowledge our love for the Whales;
𓂃 。𖦹° To share this space in unity;
𓂃 。𖦹° To celebrate their 2025 migration;
𓂃 。𖦹° To invite them into our hearts.
This is why we paddle out.
