A Completely Unique Experience
This is not a Whale watching tour. The Sacred Whale Retreat is a five-night, live-aboard retreat in Hervey Bay, Queensland, for two to three women, led by Whale Communicator Letina Russell. Guests swim with Humpback Whales under Queensland's licensed-operator rules, with daily Sacred Circles before and after each swim.
Throughout every swim, I work as a Communicator and Bridge, facilitating a direct channel between the Whales and those in the water with me. What is transmitted through that channel is different for every person. I have witnessed the healing of deep grief, the arrival of self-love and compassion, sudden and complete clarity on purpose, and experiences of joy so expansive that people find they can return to that feeling again and again, long after they have left the water.
This body of work, and retreat program, continued to unfold over more than 300 Sacred Circles I've held across 10 years, and has also been shared on Sunrise and 7 News. Not because it needed an audience, but because what the Whales offer us as a species is so special.
I can tell you, simply and honestly, our Sacred Whale Retreat is the most soul-stirring, transformative work we offer. It is life-altering, and I am privileged to hold it for very few people each year.

What’s Included in our Sacred Whale Retreats
Because this retreat is exclusive for just two or three people, every element is shaped around you, and your journey with the Whales. Before we even see the Whales, we begin to know them energetically. I help you create your unique energetic connection with the Whales, so you can truly feel them, and they know your unique energetic signature in return.
Before we board our boat, we are welcomed to Country by an Elder of the Butchulla People, the Traditional Custodians of K'gari. As the living backdrop for our retreat, K'gari's constant presence grounds us deeply. We remember and honour that this land, the original custodians of the land, the ocean and our Whales have been in sacred relationship since the beginning of time.
Our base in Hervey Bay is just a short walk to the marina. The Mantra Hervey Bay is our home the night before we depart on the boat, and the night we return home. Enjoy our very special Retreat Opening and Retreat Closing ceremonies here.
Unhurried time, communion with the Whales, in their natural home. No script to follow, no agenda, no performance. Just you with them, eye to eye, heart to heart, and the endless possibilities and openings within that expansive space. Be nourished by organic meals, and all day snacks.
Throughout the retreat, I am a Bridge, translating what the Whales share specifically for each person present. There are transmissions given for our group, plus precisely personal information especially for you. The Whales know the energies of everyone who gathers, and the depth of healing each requires.
Every morning we hold our Sacred Circles to create and solidify our intentions for the day. Intentions with the Whales, and to infuse our broader life intentions with thankfulness and love. We open ourselves to living miracles and living a life full of potential and possibilities beyond our wildest dreams. Every evening we gather to settle ourselves, and allow the depth of the Whales' teachings to be integrated into our hearts. We receive quantum guided meditations from the Whales, to deepen our connections with them, fortify our journey, and we deeply rest to prepare for the next day.
